PLANNING | 4 Bachelorette Party Mistakes To Avoid

You’ve been handed the honor of planning the bachelorette party for your friend. Obviously, the wedding is the biggest day of her life but the bachelorette party is her last chance for a big blowout before she settles into married life. It’s also your chance to show her how much she means to you as a friend. That’s why it has to be perfect. They can easily get out of hand and there are thousands of horror stories out there about terrible bachelorette parties. You don’t want to be the one that plans a party like that, so make sure you avoid these mistakes.

Fun Times With The Girls

Dodgy Strippers

Have you seen the episode of Friends where they hire a stripper last minute and Danny Devito turns up? If you haven’t, you can probably still imagine how much of a disaster it is. It makes for good TV, but not a good send off for your best friend. If you are going to hire a stripper, you need to be careful who you get. If you just do a Google search and find somebody, there’s no way of telling who is going to turn up. That’s why you’re better off going to a proper show like the Hunks The Show Night Out instead. You can guarantee that you’re going to get professional dancers that know how to put on a good show, not a middle aged man taking his clothes off. A bad stripper can really ruin the vibe of a bachelorette party so make sure you go to a show where you know that it’s going to be done right.

Not Considering The Guests

Before you start planning, you need to think about who’s coming. Even if you and the bride would love a night of drinking and partying, what about everybody else. Is her mum or maybe an auntie coming along? They might not have the same idea of fun that you do and you need to consider that. That doesn’t mean you can’t have a wild night out but maybe plan something a bit more low key like a spa during the day, so there’s something for everybody to enjoy.

Staying At Home

When you’re considering the other guests, one of the things to think about is what everybody can afford. In an ideal world, you’d plan a crazy bachelorette party in Vegas, but a lot of people can’t stretch to that. However, you shouldn’t stay at home. The bride has likely already been to all of the places around where she lives before so it won’t be special. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have to go abroad, just head to a different city that you haven’t been to before.

Leaving It To The Last Minute

If people are having to travel to get there, they’ll have to book time off work. You also want to make sure that you can book all the activities that you want to do. If you leave it to the last minute, you might miss out on some of the good stuff that you had planned and a lot of people might not be able to make it at that short notice. There’s a lot to do so as soon as you get asked to plan the bachelorette party, get started on it right away.

Avoid these mistakes and you can make sure that you give your best friend the send off she deserves.
