Well of course when I got this wedding I had a reminiscing moment because it’s from Virginia Beach and being from Richmond, Virginia we frequented the beach often. Plus my husband’s family is from there so we always ended up there. I don’t get back as often as I like but I love seeing it, even if it is through gorgeous weddings like this one from T.Y. Photography.
From the Bride: Our wedding was a small beach wedding because we both wanted it to be something peaceful and relaxed. We chose the light house at Cape Henry because a lighthouse is a beacon of hope and guidance. The cape Henry lighthouse shows the beginning of our country and anchored the beginning of our married lives together. All beach decorations were made by myself and my best friend set them up on the beach for me. All floral arrangements were made by myself and a family friend made of various styles and textures of flowers and included broaches and jewelry provided by my mother, grandmother and great grandmother and included a price of blue jeans as my something blue. My jewelry was provided by my mother as my something borrowed as was absolutely perfect. Dress was a “Lorrie” by Maggie Sottero which was ivory lace over a lt gold with a light gold belt with jeweled accent made and sewn by my mother. The dress was purchased at Maya Couture. The grooms ivory tux was provided by House of style in Chesapeake. The wedding day was not what anyone had in mind… It was better!
