Inspirational Monday
This is a very common question, especially because so many brides are falling into this classification, including myself. According to Wikipedia, anyone who is consisted plus size is size 12 and up. Now if you ask me that is a VERY large number of brides out there are constantly being under represented.
Now, I will say that we as plus size brides have come a long way to get validation and the recognition that we are deserved. I got married 7 years ago and I knew going into the bridal salon that I got my dress from that there wasn’t going to be MY size on the rack and I would have to try on a dress that was too small for me. And have to tolerate a dress that didn’t zip or fasten in the back but I would be able to “see” how the dress would look from the front. Since then, there has been tremendous growth in the plus size wedding gown arena, from David’s Bridal Woman Collection to Allure Bridal Woman Collection to handmade couture bridal fashions by C.C. Elaine in Indianapolis, IN.
Yes, plus size bridal fashions have come a long way but there is still room for improvements. We as plus size brides have to embrace our size and realize that we too deserve to have amazing gowns for our wedding day.

What are your thoughts on these fashions?
Happy Planning,
