Virtual Cocktails and Weddings

We made it through the winter months and now we are in the spring season. I loved my hard cider drinks and bourbons in the winter to warm me up on those frosty cold evenings, cuddling with my partner by the fireplace. It was nice, but spring brings the scent of fresh green grass and trees bloomings. I am looking forward to warmer months. Granted, we are going through challenging times now with this global pandemic, but we have to keep moving and living knowing this will be behind us.

While you are confined at home, get creative with your home improvements and other projects around the house. Summer will soon be here and it will be nice to get outside, even if it is only allowed in your backyard or balcony. With summer coming, it means summer cocktail time.

Being quarantined and staying inside does not have to be miserable. Many people are making the best of it and creating new things as well as new cocktails. The latest one which is inspired by current events is the Quarantini.

Many people are know gathering via social media and the most popular meeting group, Zoom, to “virtually” get together in these challenging times!

Here are some of the top fruity cocktails:

Sea Breeze – Cranberry and Vodka

Strawberry Gin

Mango and Pineapple Mojito

Passion Fruit Martini

Coconut and Pineapple cooler

Elderflower Gin

The list is endless. There are so many variations and variety. The best part is that you can make these cocktails a “mocktail” and still have the delicious flavors of the fruits without the alcohol content.

The latest one that is trending and new is the Pineberry Smash! It is made with pineberry syrup.

What is Pineberry?

Pineberry is a white strawberry cultivar. Is the collection of selective breeding of plants to produce a desirable characteristic during the insemination process. It has a pineapple-like flavoring and once infused it makes for the most delicious cocktails or mocktails for any quarantine ZOOM party.

These crops are cultivated in the Netherlands and Belgium dating back to the 21st century. Nowadays, these plants only grow in certain regions around the world, producing a limited amount of useable fruit. This makes the pineberry very rare and very delicious.

Here is a quick recipe that is used with Pineberry Syrup.

1 1⁄2 oz. Premium Bourbon

These refreshing cocktails and mocktails don’t just have to be for a virtual party. You can have them for a virtual wedding.

With this “new” world that we are living in, and with social distancing, we are limited as to how many people you can invite to a party or wedding celebration. It does not mean that you and the one you love can’t get married! This can even be more exciting and cost-effective, of course.

Services like ZOOM and Facetime, you can have your virtual wedding right at home. The best part is that you don’t have to worry about the expenses of renting a huge hall, a guest list, menus, etc. You can add your relatives from England, Germany, South Africa, or wherever around the world to be part of your “virtual wedding.” You can even get your wedding officiated by a “virtual” pastor or another person who is licensed to marry you.

You can still wear that beautiful wedding dress or outfit to make this occasion as happy as it can be. After all, you have the rest of your lives to spend together. So don’t delay your happiness! Doesn’t matter what shape or size you are, you are forever beautiful to the one who loves you. You owe it to yourself to marry your partner and have a great life together.

We will get through these unprecedented times. Until then, take care of you and your family and remember: “The future depends on what we do in the present.” –Mahatma Gandhi.
