{Things I Love Thursday} Pick A Seat Not A Side

{Things I Love Thursday} Pick A Seat Not A Side

I have been to many a wedding growing up. And every single one had a bride’s side and a groom’s side. But in recent years, it seems that the new trend is to really merge the two families into one. It’s a beautiful and inspiring concept that I think should really be embraced because that’s really what a marriage is about: merging together two lives and two families to create one. I love the idea of creating a rustic sign to place in the entryway of your wedding location. You can use boards or a small chalkboard to create the canvas and then use paint or chalk to write out your message. Try putting your own personal touches to it. The trending phrase is ” Today, two families are becoming one. Please pick a seat, not a side.” I absolutely love this, it’s warm, welcoming and encourages your guests to interact and get to know one another because, after all, they’re all family now.
