A few months again I was in NYC for Bridal Week and I got to hang out with some of my fellow Aisle Society bloggers creating a fabulous event The Aisle Society Experience. The concept behind the event for genius, it was a collaboration of all our different styles and aesthetics, it was amazing! The amazing thing about Aisle Society is that we are a collective of over 30 wedding blogs worldwide who have come together to create a new hub of wedding inspiration. Our innovative new website leads couples to the best wedding content that exists online, assisting them in finding inspiration along their wedding planning journey. And truly this event, The Aisle Society Experience, was just that, a collective of all our wedding blogs in one place……AMAZEBALLS!
I was a part of the Colorful Whimsy experience, since many of the bloggers that Aisle Society represents feature colorful color palettes, we knew that we wanted to create something that would make all of us color-lovers proud. Our team turned to designer Michelle Edgemont to assist us in creating a design that would be both whimsical and beautiful. A quick search on Minted.com, and we were totally and completely inspired by the invitation suite that we chose, using pink, teal, lavender, and blue as our palette. The paint swashes incorporated in the invitation design also served as inspiration, of which we included art prints (also from Minted.com) as a backdrop for our chic and whimsy table. The final piece of our design was our interactive element- a donut wall! Being that donut walls are already pretty popular, we chose to use mini-donuts instead of large donuts to add a little something new. Plus I loved the incorporation of the same sex couple and a plus size person of honor. I had a great time helping to style this .
