Struggling With Planning A Wedding? Here Are Three Of The Most Important Aspects

Planning a wedding always fun. There’s so much to think about and a ton of special memories on the horizon, and it’s the one time in your life when you’ll have everyone you love in one place to celebrate this important new chapter.

That said, the planning stage can end up becoming something of a double-edged sword. While organizing elements like the cake, guest list, venue, and so on are all pleasurable experiences, when you’ve got them all to do at once, it can easily get overwhelming. This ends up turning a happy time into a stressful one – and no one wants that.

To help keep you grounded, this article will cover three of the most important aspects of planning a wedding and how to go about each one. Let’s get into it!

The Venue

The venue is one of the most important things to sort out initially. There’s a lot riding on it, so you’ll want to spend plenty of time assessing all the options to make certain the place you settle on is perfect.

There’s a lot consider here, but you should start with the look and feel of the place. Visit as many venues as possible and think about what feeling it gives you when you walk through the doors – if it resonates with you and your partner on a deep level.

The size is the next key element. Your venue option has to have enough space to fit all of your guests, of course.

It’s best to choose a space maintained by a business that has experience with weddings, as that way, there won’t be any major modifications you’ll need to request (check out Evins Mill Resort & Retreat as an example).

The Budget

Make no mistake – weddings are expensive. But everything’s manageable with a little planning.

The first thing you’ll need to do is determine your biggest priorities. What are three things you absolutely couldn’t do without? This is where the largest chunk of your budget should go. In the same vein, what are the essential elements you know for sure you’ll need to pay for?

Make a list of your must-haves and the essentials, and then see if you can categorize them in a hierarchical fashion. Inevitably, you’ll be left with a few things won’t be able to afford, and that’s ok. Some couples actually use crowdfunding to try and secure those desirables for the big day, so that’s something to explore if you don’t manage to account for everything.

The Guest Experience

And finally, there’s the guest experience. While you and your partner are the main event, you of course want to make sure everyone has a good time, and that can come in many different flavors.

Think carefully about the type of guests you’re inviting and what would make them most comfortable. Arranging transportation and somewhere to stay is commonplace, for example. Then, there’s entertainment. Would a live band be in budget? Or perhaps a DJ? What are you doing for the catering? There’s plenty to think about, but you don’t have to go overboard; again, just pick three things you consider must-haves and go from there.

Wrapping Up

The above three elements are widely considered the most important elements to work through when planning a wedding. They’re not everything, but get these sorted, and you’ll be a good chunk of the way there. Good luck!
