{Real Wedding} Snowy Castle Wedding in CT by Sassy Mouth Photography

I love a great summer wedding but there is just something about a nice winter wedding that gives me chills.  This wedding does just that, from the amazing snow shots to the breathtaking images of their venue, an amazing castle.

A little information from the photographer:

Jennifer and Erik celebrated their marriage in a castle, in the middle of snow storm, on a magic fall day…Oh yeah..October 29th.  And storm Alfred was rolling in whether anyone wanted it to or not.  When I had met with the couple the week before their wedding, Jen had expressed concern about the leaves not being changed enough yet.  We also chatted about the nature reserve we would stop at for some photo’s before we went to Bill Miller’s Castle for the reception.

Not one second had we thought that a foot and a half of snow would be a concern.  Not in October, right?  Wrong!  BUT I cannot express how magical is was to be in that castle, with the window panes, and candle’s glowing, a fire roaring, big red curtains swept to the side of a grand ballroom strung with chandeliers…and snow falling outside the window.  It really was some superior magic.  And I was so blessed to have a couple that didn’t mind the chilly temperatures, or insane weather, and were willing to venture out to capture it all.  Because, after all, it is what happened that day!!

And it was magic magic magic, how often do you have fall leaves all around covered with snow?  Or bright orange bouquets, mums, and snowflakes?   And just happen to be at a castle??  On your wedding day?  This was all so special, and I was in some sort of photographer bugged out magic overload, I couldn’t yapper away quick enough about what was going on around us.

Regardless of what happened the next day, or the week later, or the weeks later, and still happening, these few hours were absolutely beautiful, and I have expressed my thankfulness for having a wedding that day, and being able to be out, and doing my job, during such a rare occurrence.   And the people of Bill Miller’s Castle were absolutely lovely, as was the cool minister at the church!  I seem to have forgotten his name in my old age, but he was a cool cat, I have had a run of cool peeps lately…:)
