REAL WEDDING | VINEYARD ROMANTIC BLUSH AND GOLD SOUTH AFRICAN WEDDING | Chenel Kruger Photography

Today’s wedding takes place in South Africa at the acclaimed Gabriëlskloof Wine Estate, which gives a mix of rustic, romance all in a vineyard atmosphere. I just love it.  And I also love the fabulous color scheme that Tammy and Hilmar picked; blush, gold and a hint of green with the greenery….love! And I must say its something about long tables at receptions, they just look so good.

Tammy looks fabulous in her plus size wedding gown by Cja Haute Couture, is absolutely stunning.  It’s the perfect mix of elegance and grace all wrapped up in one.

Tell us about your wedding: Our wedding was at a beautiful venue called Gabrielskloof , we wanted our guests to feel comfortable and at ease during our ceremony and that is exactly what Gabrielskloof had to offer. With sweeping views of the Babylonstoren mountains, stunning olive vineyards and the surrounding wheat fields, Gabrielskloof was the perfect venue. Our wedding was elegant and romantic with a touch of rustic. We went with a blush/pastel, gold and white color scheme. Our décor conveyed a feeling of love and compassion. We had an afternoon wedding and the weather was perfect, hot with a slight breeze. After the ceremony guests enjoyed canapes and our amazing band the Stone Jets, while my husband and I went to the vineyards to take pictures. Wedding Colors: Pastel/blush pink, gold and white How did the two of you meet? We were primary/high school sweethearts, we met at church when I was 12 and him 14 years old, it was literally love at first sight, we’ve been together ever since. Describe your engagement: We got engaged at L’Ermitage in Franschoek. My husband, with the help of the general manager, created a fake Facebook competition, which I obviously won. The competition seemed so real, as it was on their letter head and signed by their general manager. He organized a supper in the room we were staying and that is where he went on one knee, as nervous as ever, and asked me to be his wife. Memories and Stories about the Day: The day goes by so quickly and there are so many moments which you wish will last forever. The memory which I will cherish forever, is the part where we exchanged vows, it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. Your first dance song: John Legend – All of me The thing that we would have done differently is? Nothing, everything seemed very close to perfect. Your advice for other plus size brides: Wear what makes you feel comfortable, if it isn’t comfortable then it isn’t the right dress for you. I did my dress fittings alone, just me and the dressmaker, I loved every detail of my dress. Three adjectives that describe the day: Picturesque, Fun, Romantic What has surprised you most during the first few months of marriage? The amount of people that ask you, “when is the baby coming?”
