REAL WEDDING | Sunset Mountain Elopement in Utah | Ashalee Soule’ Photography

Today we are sharing a sweet and touching elopement that took place at Zion National Park in Utah.  Along with an amazing sunset mountain backdrop, the couple wanted to incorporate their love for one another in a relaxed and genuine setting. I’d say they definitely accomplished that!

From the Photographer: Kelsey and Anthony are one of my all time favorite couples! Kelsey contacted me looking for a photographer for her elopement. She and her fiance’ had never been to Zion National Park but it was on their list to visit. She told me that it just felt right to get married in a place so beautiful. From there we began planning the big day! Kelsey wore all handmade items from Etsy, as well as her grandmothers earrings. Their first look was so lovely, I had Kelsey pick out music that she wanted to have playing when Anthony saw her for the first time. (since she would not be walking down the aisle) It was such a touching and beautiful experience. When planning the ceremony as well as locations to shoot at Kelsey expressed that she wanted a more casual, relaxed feel to the ceremony and wedding photos. Which fits my photography style to a T. “We’re a couple of introverted nerds, who just want to be able to celebrate and remember our day in a way that reflects who we are.” The ceremony was exactly that. My husband actually married them and they had a beautiful sunset ceremony. The clouds did make an appearance but that just made the view stunning. Kelsey and Anthony expressed beautiful handwritten vows on a gorgeous overlook with their favorite love songs playing on my bluetooth speaker. They then watched the sunset now as Husband and Wife. I have photographed many weddings and there is always something special about elopements. The vows are always so heartfelt, raw and beautiful. Kelsey and Anthony are such genuine and loving people. I am so honored that they let me document the beginning of their greatest adventure.
