Real Wedding | Fall Winery Wedding in Pittsburg | Kristen Wynn Photography

I’m so excited to share this October 2020 fall winery real wedding with you all! And must I say that it’s right on time since their Anniversary was on Sunday!

From the Photographer: Amy and Jamie met while working at the hospital. I felt like this wedding was such a great way to kick off our fall 2020 wedding season. It was wonderful to do a first look and all of their portraits at the winery. It was also nice to have an outdoor ceremony, especially with Covid being a concern. I know Amy put a lot of work into the details of her wedding, using a wine color with jewel tones throughout her fall décor. I loved the plaid blanket scarves she got for her bridesmaids! I could really feel Amy and Jamie’s joy together throughout the day.

How did the two of you meet? we met working in the dietary department at UPMC McKeesport

Describe your engagement: We got engaged in front of literally all of our friends and family! We had a picnic at our house and he was making a toast, passed out glasses to everyone and he proposed! Even had cookie cakes for after that said “She said yes!”

Personal or handmade details: We did a lot of the centerpiece items ourselves, as well as flowers, pergola decorations, etc. We got pumpkins from Michael’s and filled them with flowers and a candle for our center centerpieces, and used candles from Bath and Body Works to make the whole room smell like fall! We had a huge pumpkin for our card box.  We also had a lit up tree and wrote names on leaves and pinned them to the tree.

Describe your wedding flowers: used artificial flowers in a lot of oranges and reds, I used some roses and some other types of flowers of different sizes and shapes.  Most of the flowers were from Ling’s, and some of them were also from Michael’s.

Memories and Stories about the Day: the day was absolutely beautiful!  It was slightly overcast and a perfect temperature.  Everything from start to finish went as planned.  We couldn’t have asked for a better day! The photo booth was a hit too for sure and the DJ was amazing.

Your first dance song: “Memorized” by Blake Stadnik, a song that was featured in a recent season of “This Is Us”, which is one of the few shows we watch together

The thing that we would have done differently is? You can’t please everyone.  Planning a wedding during Covid was so stressful!  At one point we were pushed to make a decision on having the reception outdoors or limiting the number of guests to 25 indoors. We actually started to plan a two day wedding just so that we could include as many of our family and friends as we could.  Restrictions opened up right before we had to make a decision, like the day of pretty much.  It was a close call! Just try to relax and enjoy the day, it flies by!

Our favorite detail of the wedding was: we had every pairing in the wedding party pick a song as their entrance song.  It was so fun to see what everyone came up with.  We, of course, we introduced as “I’m Shipping Up To Boston” played.  We had our Ireland flag and our Irish gear on and Jamie threw gold tokens to the guests!

Your advice for other plus size brides: try different styles.  I was surprised at which wedding dresses I liked that I never thought I would.  I thought for sure that I’d have sleeves but I ended up with a strapless gown.  You’re the main attraction and no matter what you wear it will be beautiful!

Three adjectives that describe the day: exciting, loving, entertaining

What has surprised you most during the first few months of marriage? Truly seeing how much everyone cares about us was so nice.  People talked about the wedding for weeks.  It was absolutely perfect.
