What a lovely wedding we are featuring today! Lindsey and Travis had a classic South Carolina church wedding and rockin’ reception. We just adore their personal touches, like welcome cups stuffed with Skittles and Jolly Ranchers. Their classic white cake looked almost too beautiful to eat too (almost!). Congratulations Lindsey and Travis and many happy years to come!

Lindsey & Travis

How did the two of you meet? Travis and I met in high school but were always just very close friends. My senior year we started dating and the rest is history! Describe your engagement: Travis proposed while we were on a hike in Gatlinburg, TN. It was extremely unexpected, so much so that I thought it was a joke at first! The scenery was absolutely beautiful; it was a day we will always remember. Personal or handmade details: It was important to use to have a classic/timeless wedding and we tried to stay true to that through our flowers and decorations.

Describe your Flowers: Bridal Bouquet arranged with David Austin roses, hydrangeas, and green berries. Bridesmaid bouquets arranged with hydrangeas and green berries. Other floral arrangements consisted mostly of greenery and white hydrangeas. Memories and Stories about the Day you would like to share: Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. The entire day was extremely enjoyable and surprisingly relaxing. We both were so excited to get married and confident in our commitment to one another. Sharing that special time with our family and friends is something we will forever cherish. Your first dance song: Thinking Out Loud The thing that we would have done differently is? We both wish we had written one another a letter to read before the wedding ceremony. We chose not to see each other before the wedding, so reading one another’s special words would have been a nice touch. If we could have spent our wedding dollars differently, we would have: We would have spent less money on things such as invitations and postage considering those items just get thrown away. Your advice for other plus size brides: Enjoy this day, it is a once in a lifetime experience! Know that you are absolutely beautiful so be confident, it will make you radiate your happiness. Pay attention to the vows you are making to your spouse, that is what your wedding day is truly about so don’t get caught up in the details and the hustle and bustle of the day. What has surprised you most during the first few months of marriage? We have been surprised at how easy the transition to marriage has been. We dated a little over 6 years before getting married, but had never lived together. Now every day is a slumber party with my best friend!
