Planning a wedding is right up there with one of the most stressful things you can do. The plus side is that you get the joy of experiencing your special day in the end, but there is so much to organize before you get to that point. It can be so overwhelming, particularly when you feel as though everything is getting out of control and you can’t stay on top of it all.

So, here are a few hacks that will really help you stay organized throughout the planning process:

Create a new email address

You can’t afford to have hundreds of wedding-related emails sent to the same account as your personal or work emails. The mixture of all the different emails will make life hell, not to mention some can slip through the cracks and be deemed spam. Instead, set up your own separate email address just for wedding admin. All the wedding emails get sent here, making your digital life more organized and easier to keep control of.  In order to do setup this new email of yours, you can head out to sites such as Temp Email.

Use a virtual address

On the topic of addresses, you are likely to receive a lot of direct mail throughout the planning process. Some of this can come from wedding suppliers or contacts you’ve had while planning, but a lot will also be congratulations cards, and your normal mail. Again, things can get lost very easily, and you don’t really want to spend every single day sifting through the mail and sorting it all out. With companies like physicaladdress, you can get a virtual address where all of your mail is sent. This is ideal when planning a wedding as you can put this address down when dealing with suppliers and other contacts. It all gets sent there, where it is uploaded to a folder for you to view online. Instantly, you never have to worry about missing important letters/documents, with the added benefit of being unable to lose them as well!

Create a wedding planning schedule

Like all things in life, planning a wedding is easier when you have a schedule. Create a list of tasks to do each day like applying for a marriage license and scouting wedding venues, then work your way through them. It helps you stay organized as you know what you’re doing when you’re doing it. Plus, you make your way through all the planning tasks a lot quicker, so you’re way more efficient!

Work with a wedding planner

Lastly, you can relieve a lot of stress and improve your organization by working with a wedding planner. This means you have someone else that takes care of many tasks and has to stay in control of things. Hiring wedding planners, such as Kristen & Nicole, relieves the pressure on your shoulders as you don’t feel burdened with the task of remembering everything and keeping all the different documents and ideas organized.

Arm yourself with these four hacks if you want to make wedding planning a far less stressful experience. You should be able to plan your wedding while remaining as organized as possible, meaning you can be more productive and efficient. Hopefully, you won’t have a mad scramble to set everything up at the last minute as you are so on top of things that it’s all planned out months in advance.
