ENGAGEMENT | Home Town Love in Tacoma |  Jill Most Photography

Today’s engagement is all about home time love and going back and embracing the place where this happy couple found each other. Even though they have a love for traveling which is when they got engaged, in a Mayan Coffee Cavern, amazing right!  They still wanted to pay homage to the architecture of their hometown.  where they found each other.

Amber & Jeff

Tell us about your engagement session:   For our engagement shoot, we wanted to include some great architecture from our hometown of Tacoma, WA. After all, I found my prince charming!  The photos in the white/orange dress from City Chic were taken at Stadium High School in Tacoma. Some may recognize this location from the movie “10 Things I Hate About You”. Our photographer, Jill Most, did an amazing time making Jeff feel comfortable. He is not usually one to jump in front of the camera. We had a great time making each other laugh and ended up having a really great time. I could not be more pleased with the photos.

Tell us about your first meeting: Jeff and Amber (Seattle, WA) met in May 2012 online, or perhaps at the gym… depending on who you ask. Travel is one of their current pastimes, including cruises and trips to Mexico, The Bahamas, Caribbean, Puerto Rico, USVI, and Alaska. Their favorite travel destination (and hopefully someday their home) is in the Riviera Maya! They started their date at Amber’s fave West Seattle restaurant, Fresh Bistro, but enjoyed each other so much they decided to continue with drinks at a pizza bar called Talorico’s after. Jeff decided on a rum based punch drink – which just happened to show up in a white pail complete with a snazzy umbrella. Slightly embarrassed by his “fufu drink”, when the waitress returned to deliver he instead laid claim to her whisky drink – mainly to save face! They had a good laugh over the pail, and this sparked a warmth in their hearts. The following day, Jeff sought out a flower vendor and had a customized set of colorful flowers sent to Amber’s workplace… inside a shiny silver pail.

Tell us about your First Kiss: It’s a bit fuzzy, but I think our second date also included our first kiss. We went to check out a Mariners baseball game at Safeco Field in Seattle which may have been listed on betting platforms like 벳엔드 점검. Jeff made arrangements to have food in the popular “Hit it Here” Cafe and 4th row seats on the 1st base line! He came to impress! Little did he know, I showed up completely hungover from a night out with the girlfriends listening to one of my favorite bands the night before. I could barley get food in! A few drinks later – I was on the mend. We ended up kissing that night as he dropped me off on the way home. He was a total gentleman, but I was glad he mustered up the courage to lay one on me!

Tell us about the proposal: Travel is one of our favorite pass times. In February 2017, Jeff and Amber took another trip to the Riviera Maya to stay in Puerto Aventuras and Cozumel. During the trip, they visited Xplor Fuego, Cenotes, Xel-Ha, Tulum Ruins, and a very special place, Alux Cavern Restaurant. They were engaged at a romantic candle lit table in the magic of the cavern over glasses of Mayan Coffee. Jeff put together a 30-something page stick figure book called “Who Do I Love”. He explained the restaurant had a photographer that would come around to take photos for a few dollars. Little did I know that our Mayan Coffee would include a beautiful custom designed engagement ring! We both cried like babies through the last page of the book, at which time he popped on his knee. He even thought to order a custom lit up box for the ring since it would be dim in the cavern. Keeper!!
