{DIY Tuesday} The Soft Smoky Eye

On La Perla’s Autumn/ Winter 13/14 catwalk, it was all about softening a classic. The smoky eye has such an immediate impact, but the softened smoky eye has more of a subtle, slow burning effect. It also can be the perfect makeup for your big day. Since this smoky eye uses browns and neutrals, it comes off much softer than the classic “smoke.” It is a very feminine and romantic look, especially once you get to the lip. For a demure and understated look, go for a nude lip. For a pop of color and a bombshell look, go for the bright coral lip. Either way, you will look stunning!

Which lip color do you prefer with the soft smoky eye: Demure Nude or Bright Coral?

  1. Every woman loves the smoky eye! A soft smoky eye is great to wear during the day and wedding day. A little color on the lip is necessary for wedding photos. Otherwise you’ll look a little sick.
