{Curvy Real Wedding} Winter Wedding in Wisconsin | Rebecca Pfeifer Photography

We have such a lovely treat on tap for you today on the blog. Pam and Mark put together a beautiful wedding in Hartford, Wisconsin. Pam wore a gorgeous Allure Bridals gown and planned her entire wedding, all the while looking fabulous. Mark proposed in the sweetest way too—you’ll want to read on for more!

From the Photographer: Pam and Mark knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding, starting with the venue: The Chandelier Ballroom! As soon as they found out the next available date open at The Chandelier Ballroom was November 28th, they booked it without hesitation. While I was kinda hoping for a little snow, Pam and Mark were blessed with a gorgeous and unseasonable warm winter day in Hartford, WI!In one photo you’ll see that Pam brought mini chalkboards and asked each bridesmaid to write how they first met her. She didn’t see what they had written until she looked through her wedding pictures for the first time! I think this is a pretty sweet idea for brides-to-be! The photo of Pam & Mark holding portraits of their parents was also an idea from Pam…these photos shows how important their family and friends were to their wedding celebration!Pam’s bridal bouquet was made out of the most beautiful blue orchids I’ve ever seen! And the sparkly clutch was a wedding gift.

How did the two of you meet? We met on Match.com Describe your engagement: Laying on the couch, he kneeled down next to me pretending to put a new bead on my Pandora bracelet, and instead of the charm, he said “How about this one” pulling out the engagement ring, saying “You wanna”? PERFECT!! Personal or handmade details: I made our card box, center pieces, candy buffet, signage, hankies for happy tears. I also dyed my own shoes to match my bridesmaids dresses. I made all the jewelry my bridesmaids wore. My mom made all of our invitations and guest favors. Describe your Flowers: My bouquet consisted of Blue “Ocean Breeze” dendrobium orchids. My bridesmaids had white hydrangeas with the orchids added in. Memories and Stories about the Day: Our wedding was a dream come true. Nothing went wrong. We had an absolutely beautiful day outside for a late November wedding in WI. We couldn’t have chosen a better bridal party. They really made sure our day was perfect. Everyone who helped me plan this wedding, from our parents, bridal party, and every venue we chose were AMAZING!! My favorite memory is just the look on my groom’s eyes as I walked down the aisle, there was just pure love and joy in his eyes. Your first dance song: Amazed by Lonestar. The thing that we would have done differently is? Check with your venues frequently. We hadn’t spoken to our florist for a few months, and low and behold she closed shop without notifying her customers and we were left without a florist or flowers 2 months before my wedding. Thankfully we were able to find a florist last minute who happened to be amazing, and saved us hundreds!! If we could have spend our wedding dollars differently, we would have: Honestly, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Your advice for other plus size brides: Try on LOTS and LOTS of dresses, even if you think it’s not a style for you. I found out, that there were many dresses I balked at looking at them on a hanger but loved on! I still bought the first dress I tried on, because when you put on “The dress”, you’ll know! Do research online and find a bridal shop who carries a large selection of plus sized dresses, those were the shops that treated me the best! What has surprised you most during the first few months of marriage? How much I continue to fall in love with my husband more and more everyday.
