I absolutely love gawking over celebrity weddings but I love it even more when it can be an inspiration to plus size brides. And Kelly Clarkson is a true testament for curvy brides all over the world. She has not tried to hide her struggle with her weight and she impressed us all when she took a stand against and decided that her looks were not going to be the determining factor for her. As a plus size women myself, it was so refreshing and inspiring to see a celebrity embrace her body and actually feel good about it and especially during such a stressful time, like planning their wedding.
She has served as a huge role model for other curvy brides to be with her stance on getting married, planning her wedding and ultimately her wedding dress. She looked amazing in her in Temperley Bridal’s “Jessamine” dress from the Iris collection, E! News exclusively confirmed. “It was between these three dresses,” the Grammy winner said earlier this month. For her gorgeous engagement shoot, Clarkson donned Marchesa and Monique Lhuillier. She completed her look with a Maria Elena Headpieces headband. Clarkson carried a bouquet of sunflowers and Bluebonnets—the official flower of Texas, her home state.
Blackstock’s two children, Savannah, 11, and Seth, 7, attended the couple’s intimate ceremony. It was held at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tenn., on Sunday, Oct. 20. Built in the 1970s and nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains, the lush locale sits on 4,200 acres of greenery.
The couple first met in 2006 during rehearsals for the American Country Music Awards. They began dating six years later, and in December 2012, Blackstock asked Clarkson for her hand in marriage. He proposed with a custom ring featuring a giant yellow canary diamond surrounded with white diamonds. According to E! News “Brandon designed it with Johnathon Arndt!” Clarkson tweeted at the time. “They did an amazing job!” Kelly and Brandon will reside at their mansion in Tennessee. All Images courtesy of E! News
