Finding the Perfect Plus Size Wedding Dress by Luxe Bridal
There’s nothing quite like the moment when a plus size bride finds her wedding dress – absolutely nothing feels so satisfying and gratifying..and any other ifying word you can think of! Every bride who comes to our plus size bridal boutique, Luxe Bridal Couture, reacts a little differently. Some will jump up and down, squealing with excitement. Others will grasp the skirt of the dress and swing it like a bell, a dreamy smile on her face. Quite a few cry – which usually makes us tear up, too!
However our brides react to finding THE dress, getting her to that moment is not only our business – it’s our passion. And that passion fuels us, every day, to do the very best we can for our plus size brides.
Just take a look at these pictures of our bride, Brittany, on her wedding day. Brittany came to Luxe filled with hope, happiness and a unique take on how she wanted to look on her wedding day. Brittany has a modern vintage vibe to her – from the dark hair and sideswept bangs to the tattoo on her shoulder. She’s unique and beautiful, and our job was to find the dress that would let Brittany feel more like herself than ever on a really important day.
Captured by Minnesota photographer, Tara Berg, Brittany and her husband clearly fit together – they’re in sync, just like Brittany’s bridal look. Brittany’s wearing a gorgeous strapless dress by Stella York that combines both modern and vintage elements. The sweetheart neckline inset with lace is a beautiful nod to the design aesthetic of the early 1950’s, while the ruched and gathered skirt of the column dress (?) is extremely modern. Paired with a simple birdcage veil and jewelry with touches of tropical tones – the overall effect is fresh and optimistic and young…just like the couple!
