“Rock Your Curves” at Curves Rock Weekend
Whenever someone thinks about fashion and especially plus size fashion, they always think of three main places ~ Los Angeles, New York or Atlanta BUT there’s a new sheriff in town and their name is Curves Rock Fashion Weekend and they are out of Baltimore. As plus size women we crave outlets for education and inspiration on what’s going on in the plus size industry and not all of us are located in one of those top cities. So to know that someone has created an event just for the Maryland, DC and Virginia area is great!
The brains behind this fabulous event are Tykesha “Ms Diva Doll” Reed and Chanell “Stallion N’ Stilettos” Jones whom have both been in the modeling industry for a combined 30 years, so you know they are going to bring it. Their mission is clear:
“We are committed to improving the self-esteem of the curvy community, bringing awareness to healthier lifestyle choices and making styles, trends and fashion that not only caters to the IDEAL size model but also to the woman with CURVES.”
and they are doing that and then some for the plus size industry in the Maryland, DC and Virginia area. I’m from the area and I know there are slim pickings when it comes to finding anything catering to the plus size industry without having to leave this area.
So we are ecstatic about this event and know it will take FABULOUS to the next level. And as a plus size bride, it’s a great opportunity for you to look for fashions for you engagement party, bridal shower, honeymoon and just running your wedding planning errands. The three day event will be held Thursday, July 25th – Sunday, July 28th. The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, which is a larger venue than last year, located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor (300 Light Street, Baltimore, MD 21202).
