REAL WEDDING | Romantic England Wedding Breakfast | Sam Sanders Photography

I am so excited to share this amazing wedding from across the pond. First off I love the idea of a wedding breakfast, genius! And of course I love the romantic and laid back aspect of the wedding. No one wants to deal with drama and tons of pressure on their special day, so this wedding seems like my kinda event. Check out more below. Congrats!

Tell us about your wedding: I was aiming for a romantic relaxed feeling to the day, where our guests could really enjoy themselves, to help with this we hired surprise singing waiters who had waited on the guests during the wedding breakfast then surprised them by bursting into song before desert. They had us all dancing and singing it helped to get everyone in the party mood.
Wedding Colors: Ivory and vintage pink with grey suits for the grooms men
How did the two of you meet? We met online in 2008
Describe your engagement: Paul and our daughter arranged it as a surprise, we where in Disney Land Paris when he proposed in front of the castle, it was all lit up with Christmas lights and it had been snowing so It was like something out of a fairytale
Personal or handmade details: I changed my mind about the style of my dress a few weeks before the wedding, my dress maker spent the whole week before the wedding hand stitching beaded lace and buttons on to a newly created top, she added fabric to the skirt and made a beautiful belt to tie it all together.
Describe your flowers: A cascade bouquet with vintage pink and ivory coloured flowers with lots of green foliage. Bridesmaids bouquets where hand tied with quicksand roses and lots of green foliage
Memories and Stories about the Day: I was walked down the isle by my dad and step dad as my mum passed away in 2009 I wanted them both to be part of that special moment.
Your first dance song: Don’t let go, by James Arthur
The thing that we would have done differently is? Nothing it was a perfect day
Your advice for other plus size brides: Be comfortable in your dress, find a designer who can see your vision. Once you are comfortable you will relax and enjoy your day. Your confidence will be sky high and this will show in your photographs.
Three adjectives that describe the day: Romantic, fun, unforgettable
What has surprised you most during the first few months of marriage? That nothing has changed, we are same people we where before we got married, also introducing yourself as a wife has a very empowering effect
