This Kentucky wedding we’re featuring today is full of Southern charm and elegance with some fun thrown in. Jen and Andy married in Louisville with 250 guests watching. The two, who met on OKCupid started off their ceremony with quotes from one of their favorite movies “The Princess Bride.” You’ll have to read on for more of this super sweet adorableness!

How did the two of you meet? When Andy moved back to town, not being much of a drinker, the bars weren’t an option. Instead, he turned to OKCupid. It didn’t take long for Jen to find him. Just from reading his words, she knew there was something different about him. They had a lot in common, they had similar values, came from similar places. She just kind of knew that the two of them together could be something special, but wasn’t quite ready for a relationship. So, she flagged his profile for later. When she was ready for a serious relationship again, she looked him up. In his profile, Andy admitted his typical Friday night was spent watching Fringe, so she messaged him, “I love Fringe!” And she waited… and waited… and waited. It probably wasn’t as long as she thought it was, but it felt like weeks before she heard back. Then they started to talk. They texted and messaged and set up their first date. Describe your engagement: After they’d been serious for a while and started looking for a house, Andy knew it was time. Things were moving in that direction. So he got his grandmother’s engagement ring from his mom, had the stone reset and put it in the best hiding place he could think of: the One Ring box. Jen wondered why the One Ring was out, but never checked the box, despite her hunch that something was up. Meanwhile, Andy planned. On what seemed like a normal weeknight, they went to Queen of Sheba, one of their favorite restaurants, for dinner. They came back to the house and changed into PJs, like they usually did. But then, Andy queued up a meme on the TV that they had laughed at many times, got down on one knee and, with ring in hand, asked “will you be my wife?” in Swahili (a throwback to Jen’s days in the Peace Corps). Jen said yes, in English, and cried a few happy tears. Personal or handmade details: The brides bouquet was a brooch/sparkle bouquet. The bride’s Aunt helped her put it together, and included a few family heirlooms to add to the overall sparkle. Sparkle shoes were a must. Instead of something super fancy, though, Jen went with super comfy Toms. In addition to being cute, Jen loved that she could make the world a better place through the purchase as well (very in-line with her Peace Corps roots). The groom used the Claddagh ring he has worn most of his life as his wedding band, flipping it over and calling it done. Describe your Flowers: White with hints of blue, primarily featuring white roses and blue hydrangeas Memories and Stories about the Day: The bride’s brother, a minister and the ceremony officiant, started the ceremony off with a quote from one of the couple’s favorite movies, Princess Bride, “Mawwiage. Mawwiage is what bwings us togevah today” showing the couple’s lightheartedness. He followed it up with a unique greeting, “Friends, we are gathered together to witness and bless the joining together of Andrew and Jennifer in marriage. We celebrate the union of comic fan and puzzler, of video gamer and board gamer, of geek and geek.” Your first dance song: "Realize" Colbie Calliet The thing that we would have done differently is? More hair stylists/make-up artists so that getting ready could go a little quicker and smoother. It is an easy place to fall behind and it is hard to make up time on the wedding day. What has surprised you most during the first few months of marriage?  The biggest thing Jen and Andy are looking forward to is just being together. Their wedding day was an opportunity to tell the world that they love each other and make it official. Now they get to spend the rest of their lives together. Yeah! It makes them happy to look forward to years of taking walks, making silly jokes, watching TV and taking trips. Others might think it is boring stuff, but they are excited to do these things with each other. They’ll explore and grow more; they’ll change together. Whatever happens will be better with the two of them together.
