REAL WEDDING | Glamourous Winter Wedding in Canada | Michelle Lana Photography

These two are the cutest! They found love by using Tinder and swiping right for love. Gotta love a good internet dating story turned to an amazing wedding.  Check out below for all the gorgeous winter festivities including some epic fog that even almost stopped the wedding from happening. Congrats!

Tell us about your wedding: Our foggy, dramatically beautiful wedding was the perfect combination of our mutual love of winter, and old Hollywood glamour!
Wedding Colors: Wine, ivory, gold accents
How did the two of you meet? Tinder! We swiped right for love!
Describe your engagement: Every year at Christmas, Simon and I have a tradition of dressing up going to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. On December 9, 2016, after the symphony was done, we went up to the front of the big, beautiful, candle lit cathedral to “take photos”…. little did I know the poor unsuspecting man Simon handed his phone to, was told to keep it in video mode! It took me a second to figure out what was going on even as he was asking me… but when I gathered myself enough to realize, I agreed (very loudly, very enthusiastically – we have no chill).
Personal or handmade details: I wore my Nana’s crystal and ice blue drop chandelier earrings, from the early 1950s, to keep her close to me that day.
Describe your flowers: The perfect mix of winter and extravagance! Burgundy roses, evergreen, frosted berries, anemones, and even some pine cones for fun:)
Memories and Stories about the Day: The fog was so bad a few of our guests almost didn’t make it! On the way there in the limos I had no idea where we were because our surroundings were blanked out…. made for some killer photos though!
Your first dance song: La Vie en Rose, Louis Armstrong
Your advice for other plus size brides: Enjoy every moment of your day. It honestly does go by SO quickly that every second is so precious. Also stop worrying about your arms – they are fabulous.
Three adjectives that describe the day: Romantic, glamorous, personal.
What has surprised you most during the first few months of marriage? How everyone keeps asking when we are having kids!!!
