REAL WEDDING | Fall Wedding at Summer Camp in Massachusetts | Ends of Earth Innovation

Today’s wedding is a a fall wedding that the couple wanted a very simple and unique wedding venue that reflected their love for a local summer camp.  They chose it because of the greenery, wood and candles that symbolized their natural and simple feel of the camp for their wedding.

Tell us about your wedding: We wanted a Unique wedding venue so we chose a local summer camp. The grounds were perfect for our natural fall wedding. We chose elements such as greenery, wood, and candles to keep the with the natural simple feel of the camp.

Wedding Colors: Burgundy, dusty rose, grey and gold.

How did the two of you meet?  We met at a cookout.

Describe your engagement: We had a really long engagement, our story is nontraditional! We met young, had children, finished school, set up our careers and then decided to have a wedding.

Personal or handmade details: My step father made the custom bar, my welcome sign and seating chart were also diy.

Describe your flowers: Our flowers had a organic feel with lots of greenery with hits of burgundy and cream. Simple yet elegant.

Memories and Stories about the Day: “My sister and her husband married us, it meant a lot to have a couple we admire and look up to as a part of our big day. I also walked down the aisle to a version  of their wedding song. My mom raised my brother and I as a single parent so I really wanted to make her feel special. So instead of having a first look with Josh, I had a first look with her. She didn’t see the dress on me until that day.  My brother was my Man of Honor – we are super close and I couldn’t picture anyone else in his spot. “

Your first dance song: From the Ground Up – Dan and Shay

The thing that we would have done differently is? Hire someone to do the set up. We spent a lot of time the morning of and previous day putting things together.

Your advice for other plus size brides: Don’t think you wont find a dress just because your plus size and don’t settle on a dress, keep looking! I went to multiple shops who had very little for me to try on in my size and budget. I called carbonneau bridal to make my appointment and they assured me I would have plenty to try on and they did.

Three adjectives that describe the day: Fun, memorable and family.
