Lauren and Brian were married in May in Orange, CA. The two had a very personal, DIY real wedding full of ultra-sweet touches. Brian built their reception sweetheart table himself and entertainment included corn hole and bananagrams, some of the couple’s favorite board games. Instead of a garter toss, Brian and Lauren filled a pinata with candy and toy dinosaurs. Too cute! Congratulations to you both and wishing you all the best!

From the Bride: My husband, Brian, and I were married May 3, 2015 at Santiago Oaks Regional Park in Orange, CA. It was a very personal, DIY event and we were lucky to have so many contributions by family members! I absolutely loved our lunchtime event – the school I took cooking classes from catered the delicious gourmet lunchboxes (peppercorn crusted tri tip sandwiches with garlic aioli on ciabatta with couscous salad, spinach salad, and a bunch of red grapes in each box). My mom is a florist a made 95 stunning arrangements for the day. A close friend made our beautiful cake (almond cornmeal pound cake with marscapone frosting and fresh strawberries). My husband built our sweetheart table himself, the favours were our favourite hippo cookies from Balboa Island, we had games for our guests like cornhole and bananagrams, my husbands grandmother sewed all of the cloth napkins for the reception (which meant even more when she was too sick to attend the wedding). I had a tag with my dogs name on it on my bouquet, we wrote our own vows to each other (which included a line about sharing french fries by my husband), and instead of doing the bouquet/garter toss, we opted to have a pinata filled with candy and dinosaurs! It was the perfect blend of romance and fun. Exactly what fit my husband and I! Please let me know if there is any more information I can provide if you choose to share our event! Thank you so much for considering us! XOXO
