This past weekend we celebrated the upcoming Independence weekend a bit early with a parade and fireworks. It was great to see so many military veterans in the parade and along the parade route, it was so encouraging to see them. It was also amazing to see how we all made it a point to acknowledge and show our respect them and it started with the youngest ones there…..I absolutely loved it. So it brings me great pleasure to share this wedding with you today featuring a gorgeous plus size bride and her dapper military groom at Fort Myers Club in Virginia, shot by Ever After Visuals.

From the Photographer: Scott and Jen got married at the lovely St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church with its high ceilings and bright passageways. Jen wore a long A-line lace gown with no veil, which we thought looked beautiful. She wore different rings on each finger as little tokens to remember those who had passed away. The ceremony was a full mass and included a placement of the bride’s flowers at St. Elizabeth’s statue. The reception was held at an officer’s club since Scott was in the Air Force. And as such he was wore his dress blues and was decorated with many different types of badges. Besides a regular wedding cake, there was a groom’s cake in the shape of an airplane – Scott being a pilot. It was a beautiful wedding including the images we were able to do with DC in the background. The flowers were just blooming and it was a beautiful day!
