When planning your plus size wedding, it’s all about including elements of you and your spouse’s family. There are so many ways to including this but today’s couple chose incorporating the bride’s family house in their special day. She had her reception in front of the home that her mother was born and grew up in. Just think about how their guests must have loved experiencing their wedding knowing that it held a special place in the mother of the bride’s heart. This wedding touched my heart so much that we included it in our Pretty Pear Bride Magazine Spring 2015 Issue check out more from this wedding as well as other in here. AND can you believe that this same location was used in a Brad Pitt commercial. Check it out below the wedding. Enjoy!
Christina & Eric
From the Photographer: Christina & Eric’s wedding was very personal and sweet. The church they got married in was the same church her parents and aunt and uncle were married in. The reception site was located on their families Orange Grove estate. The house they had the reception in front of was the home her mother was born in and grew up in. Christina spent a lot of time at the estate and had such fond memories of her times there, she felt it was the perfect backdrop for her special day. For decor they wanted it to stay true to their families roots so they used a mixture of various antiques from their home, depression glass, old growers signs etc. Floral arrangements also included oranges and gifts to the guests were orange blossom honey bears. They had a signature cocktail made with orange juice and also a beer specifically to go with their theme. They wanted everyone to have fun while they attended so they had put out horseshoes, corn hole, cricket and and a large yard sized jenga. At the end of the night they had a giant bonfire for everyone to enjoy smores, sit around and hang out. I got to tour the property when we were going around to do their pictures and learned a lot about the history of the property. There is a picture with her and her aunt/uncle in front of three palms. Those palms were planted when they got married and they have a picture in front of them as well. One fun fact is that they used the property to shoot a mountain dew commercial that bead pitt was in. Christina said she had never saw it so when I got home, I was able to find it on you tube.
