I love getting real wedding from my home state of Virginia and even more so when they are from an actual area that I visited frequently. So when I get this gorgeous couple for the engagement session, check it out here, I couldn’t wait to see how their wedding would come out . And just as I suspected….it was amazing! I absolutely love the navy blue and grey color combination and Caitlin Gerres Photography did a phenomenal job capturing it all!

How did the two of you meet? My Husband and I originally met in math class in high school. I moved before senior year and we reconnected 2 years ago through Facebook. The rest is history!
Describe your engagement: Our engagement was nothing short of amazing! He was truly my backbone during the stressful wedding planning. It went by really fast and I am sooooo happy we’re finally married! {Check out their engagement session here}
The most unique element of the day: One of them was walking down the aisle with my dad. The other was seeing my husband for the first time that day and seeing him tear up when he saw me.
The weather on your wedding was: It was overcast, not too hot or too cold. Just perfect despite the sun not being out.
Describe your wedding flowers: We had a mixtures of blue/white roses and lillies.
Our favorite detail of the wedding was: How Christ was truly represented during the ceremony.
Describe your wedding cake and any other desserts: We have a small tier cake for us and we did cupcakes for the guests.
Describe your menu and your favorite part: We had heavy hors d’oeuvres. it was simply amazing. My favorite part was the shrimp salad and cucombers.
Describe any unique aspects of the beverages you served: My caterer made a juice that was amazing!
The thing that we would have done differently is? I would have put more planning into my reception. We wanted a small reception and although it was nice I would have done more.
If we could have spend our wedding dollars differently, we would have: Put more money into our decor for the reception.
Your advice for other plus size brides: Do not be bashful when planning your day or trying on your dress. I was so afraid I would not look beautiful with a strapless gown and it turned out AMAZING! Do what you want to do for your special day. The material things do NOT matter. All that matters is you and your groom.
Three adjectives that describe the day: Memorable, Overjoyed, and Christ filled.
What has surprised you most during the first few months of marriage? How easy it is to adjust to being married. It does have its challenges but it is how you react or handle the adjustment. It truly feels as though we have been married for years and I truly Thank God for that. I absolutle LOVE being Mrs. Dean!
