{Real Plus Size Wedding} High School Sweethearts Get Married from Special Moments
I love thinking of warmer place when I’m stuck in a snow covered location. So I’m sharing a wonderful Florida wedding coordinated by my good friend Tammi Waterman at Special Moments. Whom I love and has been featured on the site several times, check out some of her stuff HERE. This plus size bride and studly groom struck such a cord with me because they wrote love letters to each in high school and my husband and I did the same thing. It’s so cute to think back to how we were in high school and to think that this cute couple got to express the same thing. It’s amazing!
NIaysa and Antrone were high school sweethearts who used to write letters to each other about getting married. They were married in a church in St. Petersburg which was not too far from the high school where they met. The couple loved the idea of taking photos after the ceremony on the campus where it all started. We contacted the Northeast High School and the band director was kind enough to let us not only enter the campus and take photos of the bride and groom but to also surprise the couple by serenading them with the school’s fight song as they walked into the football stadium.
The groom also had a vision for wedding party photos near the water. We found Cypress Point Park near their reception venue that sat right on Tampa Bay. We used the park to capture some fun photos and some classic photos of the wedding party and the bride and groom- the ones utilizing the vintage Rolls Royce they rode around in for the day were my favorite! The bride looked absolutely stunning and the groom wore a proud grin on his face the entire time.
Their reception was held at the Wyndham in Tampa’s Westshore area. Tammy and her staff at Special Moments as well as the rest of the vendors did an amazing job of putting together a gorgeous reception that floored the bride and groom and the rest of the guests. Every detail blending together seamlessly and was unique to the couple and their story- from the family tree that held the guests names and table numbers, to the ‘I Spy’ and family value themed table number displays as well as the refreshment favor table that highlighted the bride and grooms favorite cocktails.
