{Real Curvy Wedding} Blue and Pearl Wedding in Virginia | Chamberlin Photography

I get so gitty when I see a wedding from my hometown and especially if the wedding takes place at places I know.  I miss my hometown so much sometimes so it just brings a smile to my face to see it in gorgeous weddings photographed by great photographers like Chamberlin Photography. This wedding is amazing because the bride is rocking her fabulous curves and she is utterly stunning…from her dress to her hair to her makeup, she steals the show.

How did the two of you meet? We met as kids when our families were associated with the same congregation. As adults he looked me up and we began talking and eventually he got around to asking me to join him and friends bowling.

Describe your engagement: We went to dinner at the Boathouse restaurant with both our parents and a few other close family members (it was our parents first time getting together since we had begun dating) George had the head chef serve me the ring on a platter prior to our meals being served. He then got on one knee and pop the question.

The weather on your wedding was: Unbelievably warm for February. High of 67 low of 49

Bride: I tend not to get overly emotional but did break down during the vows with tears and made most of the audience cry as well.plus size bride, bridal magazine, curvy bride plus size bride, bridal magazine, curvy bride plus size bride, bridal magazine, curvy bride plus size bride, bridal magazine, curvy bride plus size bride, bridal magazine, curvy bride plus size bride, bridal magazine, curvy bride plus size bride, bridal magazine, curvy bride plus size bride, bridal magazine, curvy bride plus size bride, bridal magazine, curvy bride

Describe your DIY décor, if any: Half of the guest tables had red rose bouquets. The other half had 2 square vases with a lace ribbon around it attached to the ribbon was a small photo frame with engagement pictures in them.

Describe your menu and your favorite part: Baked chicken, baked fish, California veggies, mac and cheese, rolls, rice pilaf, tea, lemonade and open bar

Describe any unique aspects of the beverages you served: they were delicious—I am amazed that people are still talking about how good the lemonade and tea was….i didn’t even taste it.

Your first dance song: Unforgettable by Nate King Cole and Natalie Cole

Our favorite detail of the wedding was: His response: the bride J Her response:

The thing that we would have done differently is?  If we would have planned better for the take down and clean up to be handled by certain people. Everyone remaining pitched in to help and we were thankful for that. Also spend money on programs whether you do them yourself or have them ordered. It definitely makes a difference and lets your guest know what’s going on when.

If we could have spend our wedding dollars differently, we would have: We were very careful with our money and planned well in advance —counted the cost early enough to get exactly what was needed and wanted.
