I have been repeated asked how plus size brides can look their best in their wedding gown. And time after time I say, “It’s all about the undergarments” Undergarments can make a dress go from looking ordinary to looking FABULOUS!!
Undergarments are the backbone of a dress. They are what give it support as well as allow it to be worn in it’s best way.
The problem that most plus size brides have with their undergarments is that they can’t find undergarments that fit them correctly. They will either roll down, roll up or don’t fit correctly. I have gotten together a few of undergarments from Sonsi that I have found to work well for plus size brides.
Ok, so lets address the roll down or rolling up issue. The one thing that I have found that works best for this is to either get something that comes up high so it can be worn around the shoulders or attached to something which eliminates the rolling down/up. There are even certain garments that come with attachments built in.

As far as the problem of being comfortable. I know for me I always deal with the problem of rolls coming out from the sides of whatever garment I’m wearing which makes it extremely uncomfortable and hard to continue wearing the garment. As well as rubbing or chafing depending on the type of garment.
My suggestion is to find something that fits YOU, whether it’s a body suit, slip, corset or girdle. You’re going to have to try things on and if you are ordering online that means that you might have to order a few, try them on and return what doesn’t work. I know it sucks, trust me, but you won’t know what is going to be comfortable to you until you try several types on.
When you find a great undergarment that fits, you will notice the difference it makes in how you feel and ultimately how you look. Because if you feel good, looking good just comes naturally!!
