Motivation Mondays: It’s Okay to Indulge
I know that I promote getting healthy and staying in shape, but there comes a point in every plus size woman’s life where she needs to sit down, take a breath and eat ice cream. It’s the soothing and tasty remedy for dealing with all your hardships. I bring this up because I’m back at school now and I’m stressed out. Between assignments and club activities, I am swamped and it’s only the third week! If anyone needs a big bowl of ice cream, it’s me. And for any of you who feel my pain right now whether you’re in school or not, have some ice cream anyway because you are one busy gal.
I dedicate this day to ice cream… I mean indulgence. Because let’s face it, when the odds are stacked against you, you need something to hold on to that brightens your day and makes you relax a little no matter how pressured you feel. And this something doesn’t have to be ice cream; it can be cake, fried chicken or a shopping spree. Whatever it is, indulge in it for a day. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
Before I tell you to leave your comments below, I have some exciting news to share. My internship with Pretty Pear Bride has ended, but Shafonne asked if I would like to become a contributor to the site and I said yes! It was an offer I could not refuse.
