{Home Sunday} Summer Season Entertaining

Summertime is my favorite time of the year to throw parties. You can easily set up a few basics in the backyard and then just decorate with quirky details and dishes. If you find a few card tables and chairs, you can spend the majority of your budget on the fun stuff.

Tip: Get a tablecloth with a simple pattern or color scheme so that you have room to go crazy with the prints in other places. Also, you can save on purchasing individual placemats when you just get a tablecloth instead.

Tip: Go for a whimsical design when choosing your dish ware. Look for one-of-a-kind looking pieces, I especially love bright and bold pieces that look hand-painted. It’s even better if your dishes don’t match!

Tip: At night, replace your flower centerpieces with small votives and tea lights. It will create a cozy atmosphere, keep bugs away and set your yard aglow.
